So I saw this great idea from someone else's blog. They did it with some well-know drawings of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, etc. I wanted to do it with some old cassette album covers that meant something to me. Plus, if I can find an old copy of the tape, I can actually paste it onto this and frame it.
This is a re-color of an old card. I have been really into going over some old stuff that I've done and adding color. Fred is from France and he is involved in saving Yorkies.
This was a birthday card that I did last year of a parrot/macaw. I re-colored it as a scarlet macaw, and I plan to give this card to the same person this year! Here's the original too.
So I am designing the cover for a book my dad's writing called "EXPLORING THE ROOTS OF SPIRITUALITY" and the design is going to incorporate a bunch of famous theologians: Francis of Assisi, Aquinas, Ambrose, etc. This is the first one I did: Saint Augustine of Hippo. (I'm going to try and get one done a day.)
I made a birthday card out of a "Coach" bag last year and my co-worker requested a Dooney & Bourke bag (mainly because of the initials). I fashioned this on Illustrator. I can't wait to give this to her next month.
I've been wanting to do something with sumo wrestlers for a while. This is a rough sketch I came up with. I have a feeling this image will come back again soon.
This was an idea I had for a long time. I found a great way to re-use old glass jars and make them into pieces of art with just the help of a Sharpie. Be careful not to smudge the ink too quick. Also, the cylindrical jar is a unique, though challenging canvas. It just takes a little concentration to make a really cool drawing, and it can be used to store things.
